Local democrats gathered to take part in reading Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli's new book, The Last Line of Defense.
The Charlottesville and Albemarle Democrats shared and discussed some passages from the Republican gubernatorial candidate's new book.
They focused on excerpts they call attacks on Medicare, social security and even public recreation centers.
"These are deeply held beliefs by him, and I think the citizens need to be aware of them. This is a dangerous set of beliefs for a governor of Virginia to have," said Charlottesville Democratic Chair Jim Nix.
Democrats say the future doesn't look too bright if Cuccinelli were to be elected with his views. Cuccinelli is running against Democrat Terry McAuliffe in the governor's race.
