Kids in Charlottesville learned how to keep their head in the game. Not only for their sport game but also in life.

It's a program called 'Just Think: To Stay in the Game' and the goal is to teach kids life skills such as character, responsibility and respect.

Even though athletics are a large part of kids' lives these days, the coordinator says there are a lot of life themes that need to apply to more than just sports.

"Sports is what you play. Living is what you do," said the creator and coordinator of 'Just Think', Alex Zan. "Sports is temporary, it's an aspect of life. It's not life. So our athletes need some tools, some life tools to deal with because at some point the lights going out, the gym's gonna close, season's gonna end and you're going to have to live life on life's terms."

Zan hopes to bring his program to the city school systems.
