PORTSMOUTH, Va. (AP) - A man with outstanding warrants for his arrest barricaded himself in a bathroom for several hours at a Portsmouth flea market before being arrested.
Media outlets report Portsmouth police tried to arrest the man on the warrants at 8:43 a.m. Saturday. After a five-hour standoff at the flea market, the man was taken into custody. His name wasn't immediately released.
Tidewater Community College's Portsmouth campus was put on lock down during the incident and classes were canceled. A ramp along Interstate 264 also was closed to traffic.
No injuries were reported.
