Memorial services are underway for slain Waynesboro Police reserve Capt. Kevin Quick.

A private visitation is being held Sunday night in Staunton, but on Monday, the public memorial service will welcome anyone who wants to pay respects.

Quick disappeared two weeks ago. His body was found in Goochland County a few days later. While no one has been charged in his murder, police have announced seven arrests over the course of the investigation.

The public memorial service will take place at the John Paul Jones Arena at the University of Virginia on Monday, beginning at 10:30 a.m.

A number of law enforcement agencies are expected and will salute the captain as the hearse drives by.

The subsequent burial service is private.
