Michelle Obama Campaigning for McAuliffe

June 6, 2013

First Lady Michelle Obama is campaigning for Democrat Terry McAuliffe in his bid to become Virginia's next governor.

Obama attended an afternoon fundraiser on Thursday at the Sheraton Hotel in McLean, Virginia. Tickets for the event ranged from $100 to $750.

McAuliffe is facing Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli, in the November election.

McAuliffe, who is the former chairman of the Democratic National Committee, raised more money for his gubernatorial campaign in May than his Republican rival.
