The three organizations that call the Live Arts! Building home threw a fundraiser Saturday evening called 'Mind the Gap'.

Live Arts!, the 2nd Street Gallery, and Light House Studio hosted the event, which featured bands and beer on the roof, a tea bar, and even an 'artist in a box', where a guest artist would sit in a box and act like a vending machine where money goes in and drawing comes out.

The gap they want to close with this fundraiser is gap between the money spent and the money earned during this fiscal quarter.

"This is just another opportunity to do something at a time when a lot of people are out of town." says Steve Taylor with the 2nd Street Gallery.

"There is not a lot going on, the University has gone away, so it’s a good party and we make some money."

The event also feature a silent disco, where dancers wore headphones to hear the music and people danced seemingly to no tune at all.
