CHARLOTTESVILLE, Virginia — Monticello is celebrating the 26th anniversary of its selection as a UNESCO World Heritage Site by rolling back the price of admission.

On Dec. 14 and Dec. 15, visitors will pay the 1987 price for a general admission ticket, which was $5.

Thomas Jefferson's plantation and the University of Virginia were jointly named a UNESCO World Heritage Site in December 1987.
