Indecisive wine lovers had a chance to have up to 90 samplings Saturday at the annual Taste of Monticello Wine Trail Festival.

The event packed the nTelos Wireless Pavilion. Thirty wineries throughout central Virginia each offered three samplings of their wines.

The day, though, was about more than simply the tasting. Participants also had a chance to learn more about wine and eat some great food.

"I think everybody's really stoked to build this into more than just a chance to hit wine, but just to learn more about the process, to get to know the member wineries," said Elizabeth Smith, one of the organizers of the event. "And then (they) come and visit us at our wineries once you've had our wine, and you go, 'Wait, these guys are just around the corner from me.'"

Organizers say about 3,000 people showed up at the pavilion for the annual event.
