The Lodge at Old Trail hosted a job fair Tuesday for the senior community in Crozet.
Construction for the senior community is almost complete, and now they're looking for medical staff, maintenance workers and chefs. There will be 65 full-time openings and 30 part-time openings. So far the buildings construction has brought in 400 temporary jobs.
"It's still something different. Most of Crozet is continuing to work hard, they still have this construction, and I'm just adding a little bit more to the community," said owner David Hilliard.
The Lodge at Old Trail plans to open its doors on May 18.

Also, in an effort to answer Cismont Bill... the jobs referred to in past articles (400 jobs created) are not quiet jobs. These are men and women working full time on the construction, wiring, dry walling, etc every single day. They do an amazing job and are putting together a wonderful building for our senior living community. I believe most of those workers are Virginia residents. Most of them are from the area. There will be approximately 100 jobs created once the building is open. 65 of those are full-time positions. Please visit our website (www.lodgeatoldtrail.com) or come pay us a visit should you have any questions or want to be a part of what we are building!
Our Career Fair was posted in the Daily Progress, Staunton News Leader and I belive, the Fluvanna Review and Crozet Gazette. It was also mentioned on NBC29, and the Newsplex several days prior to the Fair itself (I saw it on the 11 o'clock news). There was a banner at the bottom of our commercial that announced it. It was also listed on our Events page at www.lodgeatoldtrail.com. All positions available were (and still are) listed on our website with a PDF version of our job application. We had Virginia Staffing Choice advertising on Craigslist as well as hanging posters in their offices and the Unemployment Office. I am sorry that you did not have the opportunity to observe the announcement of our career fair in/at any of those venues. Should you need further information, please call us at 434.823.9100.
It would have been nice to have a web address listed in order to find out more information concerning what specific jobs were open. This would have been helpful to those who were unable to attend the job fair and to prevent wasting time and gas money attending if they were no jobs open for which you were qualified or interested in applying for.
