Holiday collections are underway in Central Virgina.
Volunteers are sorting boxes full of toys at Covenant Church of God. The collection is part of a larger effort called "Operation Christmas Child". It sends gift to children in need all around the world.
Yesterday, volunteers separated gifts by age. They hope to collect more than eight-million boxes locally.
The last day of collection at the Covenant Church is Monday, November 19th.
