Virginia State Police are investigating a crash that took the life of an Orange County man.
Sgt. Les Tyler of the state police says the accident happened around 12:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31. The crash site is on Route 614, about three-quarters of a mile north of Route 611.
Tyler says Thomas Reynolds, 48, was driving north on Route 614 when he ran off the right side of the road and struck a tree. He says Reynolds died at the scene.
Reynolds did not have any passengers with him at the time.
State police are still investigating the accident and do not know yet if speed or alcohol were involved.
