The fourth annual "Official Oscar Experience" will held once again at the Paramount Theater on the Downtown Mall.
Attendees get to walk a red carpet, eat local food, drink local wine, and watch the Oscars on a giant HD screen.
It is one of only 45 officially sanctioned events in the country and makes a big impact on the local community.
"It's a great party a great event," says Virginia Film Festival Director Jody Kielbasa. "All the proceeds go to benefit outreach and education events of the Va. Film Festival, this year we provided free programming for over seven thousand children in Albemarle County."
The Newsplex is proud to be involved in the event, and our Dan Schutte will once again be on the stage hosting.
The red carpet rolls out at the Paramount Theater on February 24, 2013.
