Patriotism in the Park a Huge Success

July 4, 2014

Near perfect weather lead to a large crowd at McIntire Park for ‘Patriotism in the Park’. This is the fifth year the Charlottesville Newsplex has hosted the Fourth of July celebration for the Charlottesville community.

This was a great July Fourth party and a total family event, with six inflatable devices including the Velcro wall, all supplied by Charlottesville Community Church.

"At the Charlottesville Community Church we really feel blessed that we can partner with Newsplex to provide games for the children. Just our way of loving the community," said John Healy, a member of the church and volunteer.

The crowds were so large, vendors reported running out of food.

The night culminated with the traditional firework show, which received rave reviews from many in the crowd.
