Pedestrian Struck by UVa Bus

A University of Virginia employee was struck by a University Transit System bus Monday morning at the intersection of Jefferson Park Avenue and Lee Street, near the UVa Hospital.

Police say it appears the middle-aged man was crossing the street around 9am Monday and the driver of the bus failed to see him.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital where he was treated for minor injuries.

Police say no charged have been filed at this time.
