Phone Scam Targets Dominion Power Customers

Charlottesville Police are warning about a phone scam where someone claims to be a Dominion Power worker collecting a bill.

Police say the scammer threatens to shut off the customer's power if they don't give personal information.

The scammers have been mainly targeting Spanish-speaking families, as well as the elderly.

You are encouraged to notify Dominion Power at 1-866-DOM-HELP if you have been a victim of this scam.
