The Planned Parenthood in Albemarle County says it is already up to code to deal with new Virginia laws.
New laws signed by Governor Bob McDonnell require all Planned Parenthoods, or any facility that administers abortions, to meet the same building regulations as hospitals.
The local Planned Parenthood building off Hydraulic Road already has regulation-width hallways, an elevator, and even the mandatory water fountains.
An inspector will still examine the building, but officials say they are much better off than other Planned Parenthoods in the state that will have to make costly renovations.
