Police: Armed Robbery at Charlottesville Business

Charlottesville Police are investigating an armed robbery that they say happened Saturday night at a local business.

Police say the incident happened shortly before 10 p.m. on the 800 block of Avon Street. Police would not identify the business.

Police say the suspect entered the business with a firearm and made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect is described as average height and weight and was wearing a bandana covering the face. The suspect's race and gender is unknown.

Police ask anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 434-977-4000.
