Police Ask for Help in ID'ing Shoplifting Suspect

The Charlottesville Police Department is asking for the public's help in identifying a shoplifting suspect.

Police say the crime happened at K-Mart on Hydraulic Road on Wednesday at around 2:40 pm. The suspect reportedly took several items of clothes into a dressing room, placed them in a bag and left the store.

Police say a K-Mart security officer approached the woman, but she ran in the direction of Whole Foods.

The suspect is said to be between 28-32 years old, 5’6”, 220 pounds. If anyone can identify this person, please call Officer Loya at (434) 970-3280 or Crimestoppers at (434) 977-4000.
