Police have collected DNA from Albemarle County Supervisor Christopher Dumler as the investigation into forcible sodomy charges continue.
According to court documents biological evidence was collected at the scene where Dumler is accused of sexually assaulting a female on October 4th.
Police swabbed Dumler's mouth to collect DNA after a search warrant was filed on November 5th. Dumler says he will plead not guilty.
Recent motions filed by Dumler's attorney gave insight into his defense, stating the sex was consensual.
