Police ID 2 NY Residents Killed in Va. I-85 Crash

April 7, 2013

LAWRENCEVILLE, Va. (AP) - Two victims of a head-on collision that killed five people in Virginia have been identified.

Virginia State Police say 34-year-old Rajendra Jailall and 40-year-old Seelal Rampersad were passengers in a car that was hit by a pickup truck going the wrong way. Both victims were New York residents.

State police earlier identified the other victims as 32-year-old Davinda Jailall and 51-year-old Krishna Maniram, both of New York, and 70-year-old Walter Edward Skinner of Richmond.

Police say Skinner was driving the pickup truck when it collided with the car on April 2 in Brunswick County.

Authorities received a 911 call shortly before the crash about a wrong way driver. But state police say the collision happened before troopers could arrive.
