Albemarle County Police are trying to get to the bottom of an alleged abduction Wednesday afternoon.
Police report the incident started at Fashion Square Mall. They say one women apparently abducted another woman and drove her to the UVa Credit Union on Arlington Boulevard in Charlottesville.
Police say the two women knew each other.
No weapons were used in the incident and no one was hurt.
Carrie Marie Smith, 21, is charged with assault by intimidation. At this point, she is not facing charges of abduction.
No other information was provided about the incident.
