Police Investigate Shooting in Charlottesville

Charlottesville Police are investigating the shooting of a man from a week ago.

Police say a man showed up at the UVa Medical Center Emergency Department on Friday, May 10, with a gunshot wound to his groin.

The man told police that two men tried to rob him on the 900-block of South 1st Street. He said he was hit on the head, and was shot when he ran away.

His injuries are not described as being life-threatening.

Police ask anyone with information to call CrimeStoppers at 434-977-4000.
