Police Release Names of Men Wounded in Shooting

March 19, 2013

Police have finally released the names of the two men involved in a shooting early Saturday morning in Charlottesville.

56 year-old Frank Brown of Albemarle County, and 22 year-old Leon Brock of Culpeper were injured in the shooting.

Police say that both men are in stable condition at the UVa. Medical Center.

There is still no word about any charges in the case.

However, workers from neighboring businesses say they've dealt with violence before, and now they fell unsafe going to work.

Some shop owners are talking about teaming up and taking action.

The Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control can do its own investigation.

"If the activity that's taking place around your establishment leads to violence, incidents like what we saw on the Downtown Mall early Saturday morning, then the police, the ABC Board can declare a particular business a nuisance and actually lift the license of the establishment," according to attorney Scott Goodman.

The owner of Fellini's says, it's not just a safety issue for her staff and customers, but a whole community safety issue.
