Police Releasing Few Details about Charlottesville Murder

October 18, 2013

Police have not released any other information into the shooting death of 22-year-old Jarvis Corenell Brown.

After talking to people living off of the 2500 block of Woodland Dr. in Charlottesville, we discovered that many of them did not know Brown, but one man did say that he worked with him.

Brown worked at the Sabarros restaurant at one of UVa’s dining halls, known as the Crossroads.

Many of his co-workers say he was a nice guy and they enjoyed working with him, but Charlottesville police still have not released information on whether they have a suspect in Brown’s death.

On Thursday morning police responded to a 911 call around 3:15 AM. Brown's body was discovered at roadside this morning in the 2500 block of Woodland Dr., the apparent victim of a gunshot.

Investigators ask that if you have any information on the case to call Crime Stoppers at (434) 977-4000.
