According to an announcement sent out to the UVa community, police are investigating the discovery of a body on Observatory Hill.
Police were notified of the body just before 8:00 AM Friday.
Police Chief Michael Gibson said in a statement that a preliminary investigation indicates the death may not be attributed to natural causes, and the cause of the death is still under investigation.
Anyone with information about the death is asked to call 434-924-7166.
