Power Restored After Three-Hour Outage at McIntire Road & 250 Bypass

April 17, 2013

Power has been restored to the traffic lights at the intersection of McIntire Road and the 250 Bypass in Charlottesville.

Around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, a crew clearing trees accidentally knocked some limbs into power lines, wiping out power in the area.

Police had to direct traffic by hand for nearly three hours.

The traffic lights were working by 4:30 p.m.

Motorists were told to expect delays and were urged to use alternate routes if possible.
