The company operating the red-light cameras on Rio Road is under federal investigation.
The Chicago Tribune reports the company, Redflex, was caught red-handed in bribing a Chicago Transportation official.
Albemarle County officials have reviewed their history with the company and received an explanation from them about the situation.
"We have not discovered any irregularities or concerns that negatively impact Albemarle County's contractual relationship with Redflex and we see no need to alter that relationship at this time," said
Albemarle County Communications Manager Lee Catlin. "We will continue to closely monitor the situation and consider our options, including termination of our contract should circumstances warrant."
