The aroma of popcorn will soon fill the air at Albemarle County’s biggest movie theater. The Regal Stonefield Stadium 14 and IMAX will open Monday.
Neon lights and arcade center will greet patrons as they walk through the door.
"You're going to able to experience IMAX right here in Charlottesville. It's an immersive movie experience. You'll be able to hear more, see more and feel more," said Regal marketing manager Jewel Gallagher.
A charity preview is set for Nov. 5, 6 and 8. On those days, visitors can enjoy $2 movie tickets, popcorn and soda.
Those who work at the theater say there are 14 floating screens, which means everyone has the best seat in the house.
