June 9, 2014

Charlottesville-based company Relay Foods continues to expand their online empire, now opening up shop in North Carolina.

The company will start its online grocery service in Durham before expanding in the Research Triangle region of North Carolina.

“The Research Triangle continues to be one of the fastest-growing regions of the country, and we are excited to be the first major online grocer investing here,” said Zach Buckner, CEO and Founder of Relay Foods.

The company says it will continue to work with local producers to deliver local foods and brands to customers.

Launched in 2009, Relay Foods is now considered the "leading start-up" in online groceries by TIME Magazine.
