A new housing report out Tuesday indicates foreclosure rates in the Charlottesville area are falling.
New figures from CoreLogic show foreclosure rates in July 2013 at 0.56 percent. The foreclosure rate for July 2012 in the city was 0.85 percent.
The Charlottesville rate is also lower than the national foreclosure rate, which sits at 2.43 percent.
CoreLogic's report also says the local mortgage delinquency rate is 2.14 percent – that's down from what it was at this time last year.
