Albemarle County police have arrested one suspect in connection to a bank robbery at the Sun Trust Bank branch Monday evening. Charges are expected to be filed Tuesday morning. Officials are not releasing the suspect's name at this time.

Albemarle County police are searching for one suspect in a bank robbery at the Sun Trust Bank branch in the Kroger grocery store in the Rio Hill Shopping Center.
Officials say the robbery happened shortly before 5:00 PM on Monday. One man walked up to the cashier's counter in the bank, told the cashier he had a weapon, and demanded money. The suspect walked out with an undisclosed amount of cash.
The man is described as a white male, average build and height, in his mid-thirties or forties. Anyone with information about the robbery is asked to call police.

Police are asking people in the area to look out for a suspect in a bank robbery.
CBS19 has been told the robbery happened at the Rio Hill Shopping Center. Albemarle County police are investigating the SunTrust branch inside the Kroger.
The suspect is described as a white man of average height and build, possibly in his late 30s to mid 40s.
Officials say the suspect entered the bank branch a little before 5 PM, and demanded money. It is unsure at this time if he had a gun during the robbery, or if he is still armed.
Detectives and a K-9 unit are on the scene at the grocery store.
