Libertarian candidate for governor Robert Sarvis made a stop in Charlottesville.

He met with supporters at the University of Virginia Thursday night, speaking and answering their questions.

Sarvis, who has steady numbers in the polls, said the decision not to invite him to the final debate was "disappointing."

"It's just frustrating to see that exclusion and a closed system. It's a real tragedy for Virginia voters that they're not going to be able to hear me on stage with the other two. I'm pretty sure that the other candidates don't want me there because I'd likely win in a debate between the three of us," said Sarvis. "It's not going to be as substantive, it's going to be a lot more negative without me there."

If Sarvis can make a solid showing in the polls, it could pave the way for more third party candidates in the future.
