Robert Swap Named Virginia Professor of the Year

A professor at the University of Virgina's College of Arts & Sciences has been named the 2012 Virginia Professor Of The Year.

Robert Swap is a research professor of Environmental Sciences.

His recognition comes from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching and The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

About 300 professors were nominated. There were 27 state winners and four national winners.
