The bridge over Parrott Branch on Route 604 / Celt Road in southwestern Greene County reopened to traffic Thursday morning. It was closed on Monday so the superstructure could be repaired.
During the closure a bridge crew from the Virginia Department of Transportation replaced the timber deck beams and the steel beams on the bridge.
The repairs will allow all legal weight loads to cross the bridge, which was previously posted for a 10-ton weight limit.
The bridge is located just south of Route 633 / Amicus Road.
