Scottsville community members are trying to wrap their heads around the arrest of Albemarle County Supervisor Chris Dumler. He's facing one felony charge of forcible sodomy.
"I think everybody is just a little bit stunned. We certainly think everybody should be accountable for their actions, having known Chris I would hate to think something like this would be true," said Scottsville resident, Chris Kyle.
CBS 19 knocked on the door of Dumler's home, where he lives with girlfriend Megan Gadient. No one answered the door.
"For right now let's wait and see the facts as they come out. There's so little information right now that I think people should probably reserve their judgment a little bit until we see exactly what happened," Kyle said.
Dumler will remain behind bars Thursday night, awaiting a bond hearing Friday morning.
