The Carson Raymond Foundation held its fourth-annual softball tournament on Saturday afternoon.

Four teams and about 100 people went out to Darden Towe Park in Albemarle County to watch and play.

There was also a cornhole tournament for people less inclined to sweat it out on the field.

Either way, it was all to benefit children's sports in the area.

"It's awesome. It's great to have the support we've had," said John Raymond of the foundation. "The people that are out here are all in, if you will, in the foundation. And just from the folks that we have out here today, we'll fully fund every scholarship we have to pay for the next year."

The foundation and the UVa. baseball team will be joining forces in a few weeks for Carson's Cavaliers, where they'll teach underprivileged kids to play baseball.
