State Farm has some good news for local residents looking for work. The company is hiring 55 workers in Virginia, most of which will be at the Operations Center located on Pantops Mountain.

State Farm has some good news for local residents looking for work.

The insurance company is hiring 3,000 employees company-wide, 55 of which will be in Virginia. Officials say because of the Operations Center located on Pantops Mountain, the Charlottesville-area will be receiving most of those 55 jobs.

The big hiring push is part of an initiative to enhance the company's customer service response. To view and apply to postings, click here.

Also, if someone is interested in starting their own agency, State Farm is looking to build its agency force by 900 company-wide in 2012.

Could you please make sure they're FULLY trained so they don't end up filing false claims against someone else's insurance?!
