Students Participate in Living History

March 15, 2013

Some Charlottesville school students are bringing history to life.

Third graders at Clark Elementary School have spent the past two months researching and writing biographies of famous Americans.

Friday morning, the students dressed up as the person they researched and presented their findings to other students in the school.

"They chose a person they wanted to study about, and they came up with the question they wanted to know about," said Jennifer Eddins, a teacher at Clark Elementary. "They researched it, and they chose what their costume would look like, and how to share their knowledge with their classmates."

The event was also a learning experience for adults, several parents said they learned a couple of things from the kids.
