Substitute Teacher Charged with Assaulting Students

May 20, 2013

A substitute teacher has been arrested in Orange County, on charges that she assaulted a number of students.

49-year-old Laurie Millard was allegedly assaulting 6th-grade students at Locust Grove Middle School.
An Orange County Sheriff's Deputy responded to the school last week to investigate.

As a result of that investigation, Millard has been charged with six counts of assault and battery and six counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

No serious injuries were suffered by any of the students involved in the alleged assaults.

Millard was released on a $6,000 unsecured bond and her court date in May 28, 2013 in the Orange County Juvenile and Domestic relations Court.
