It may still be winter, but kids and parents are already starting to plan their summer. It's all thanks to the Fun Fair and Camp Expo organized by Charlottesville Family magazine.
More than 80 tables were set up at the DoubleTree Hotel in Albemarle County to show what their camps have to offer -- everything from dance to the outdoors and Taekwondo.
Parents say it's an easy and fun way to do all the summer camp shopping for their kids in one location and one day.
"It's so much fun for the kids. My son is thrilled to be jumping in the bouncy-house and, of course, they love all the little giveaways, and it's just a really nice event," said Charlottesville mother Jennifer Merritt.
"My daughter has gone to some of the camps here, but it's fun to come back and see what they have to offer. And, of course, there's so many she hasn't gone to so she's excited to explore them."
Organizers say within the first hour, there were nearly 500 people who went through. More than 3,500 attended the fair over the course of four hours.
