People flocked to Washington Park Pool in Charlottesville Sunday afternoon for the first Sunday Sundowns of the summer.
The event is a free community celebration. From 3 p.m. until 6 p.m., the first 300 people got to swim at no cost. There was also music, games and a poolside barbecue.
Sunday Sundows is hosted by Charlottesville Parks & Recreation along with BAMA Works and the LeRoi Moore Fund.
Two additional Sunday Sundowns are scheduled for the season. Those will take place July 14 and August 11 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. at Washington Park.
