Albemarle County Supervisor Duane Snow held a town hall meeting at Red Hill Elementary on Wednesday night.
Snow took questions from members of the community and talked about cell phone and internet coverage.
He says large areas of the county aren't covered, and that's having a negative effect on students who need it for homework, people who work from home and property values.
"You have someone who wants to buy a nice piece of property and they find out they don't have internet or cell coverage, people say 'I'm not going to buy here, I'm going to go somewhere else'. You've got to have those things."
Another topic of discussion at the meeting was increasing the number of waste convenience centers so people don't have to drive as far to drop of their trash and recycling.
