The Louisa County Chamber of Commerce hosted the 3rd annual Louisa Wine Festival at Walton Park in Mineral on Saturday.
The event feature several local wineries, including Coopers Vineyard and Weston Farm, but also had several wineries from nearby counties as well.
And while there were tastings aplenty for visitors to enjoy, it was not just about the wine. The event featured music, food, and crafts as well.
Wine Festival Chair, Keli Harold, who is also with the Chamber of Commerce, says that the day is about featuring the various tourism draws the Louisa county has.
"Louisa is lucky in that we have Lake Anna as an attraction also, so you can come out here and sit at the lake, enjoy your wine, its just a really great relaxing tourism destination."
Proceeds from the event will go towards the various scholarships the Chamber offers and to their other tourism initiatives.
Despite the rain and the relatively low attendance, Harold says they hope to bring in around $10,000 from the event.
