The University of Virginia is honoring six graduates of the Apprenticeship and Education Program.
The six graduates represent trades including heating, air conditioning, and electrical.
The new grads already have jobs at UVa., and will now give back to the program.
The university was the first state agency to have a state-registered apprentice program.
"I think it's a great program. It gives people knowledge that otherwise they wouldn't get elsewhere," says graduate Jason Hite.
Nine new inductees were welcomed to the program on Wednesday morning.
