UVa. Police Investigating Report of Attempted Abduction

The University of Virginia Police Department is searching for the person accused of trying to abduct an 11-year-old girl.

The girl said she was grabbed from behind while trying to get inside her home yesterday afternoon around 4:30 p.m. near Massie Road and Farrish Circle.

Police say the suspect took off running after holding the child against a wall. The child screamed and fought back against her attacker. The suspect and was last seen wearing a black shirt or jacket. No further description is available.
