University of Virginia's President Teresa Sullivan is reacting to a recent article citing lingering tension between her and Board of Visitors' Rector Helen Dragas.
The article published emails in which Sullivan said Dragas and the board were mirco-managing her.
On Monday, Sullivan said the emails were released without her consent.
"As President, I respect the Board of Visitors' role in setting policy for the University and identifying reasonable goals by which to evaluate my performance."
President Sullivan added that she is committed to working with the board to achieve UVa's goals.
