Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is readying for possible snow this weekend.
Crews with VDOT will report at midnight on Friday as one to two inches of snow is expected to fall early Saturday. VDOT will monitor conditions on Saturday and will adjust staffing and equipment levels as needed.
Drivers are advised to be alert for slick spots, especially on bridges, ramps and overpasses. Give yourself extra time for travel, reduce speed and increase following distance.
