One Powerball ticket sold in Virginia is worth $1 million.
A lucky person bought that ticket at the Food Lion in Lorton. Another 11 tickets sold around the commonwealth are each worth $10,000.
Since the last jackpot hit on March 30, Powerball ticket sales generated $13 million of profit in Virginia. By law, all of that money goes to benefit public schools in the commonwealth.
More than 210,000 Powerball tickets bought in Virginia won prizes in last night's drawing, ranging from $4 to the one $10,000 ticket.
