RICHMOND, Va. (AP) - Virginia Democrats are renewing their demands that Republican Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli resign after Cuccinelli belatedly disclosed about $13,000 worth of gifts he claims he forgot to note in four years' worth of economic disclosure reports.
State Sen. Don McEachin and Del. David Toscano were reacting to Cuccinelli's revelation to a handful of reporters with no broadcast press allowed late Friday afternoon that he failed to report five gifts.
Three of them were from Jonnie Williams, the CEO of the nutritional supplement maker Star Scientific. They included a $3,000 vacation stay and $1,500 Thanksgiving retreat and dinner at Williams' Smith Mountain Lake vacation home.
But McEachin and Toscano declined to urge Democratic nominee Terry McAuliffe to disclose his full income tax returns as Cuccinelli did two weeks ago.
