Virginia Film Festival Will Screen Hitchcock's 'The Birds'

The Virginia Film Festival announced on Tuesday a portion of their special screening schedule for this November's festival.

They will screen Alfred Hitchcock's "The Birds" on November 8, followed by a post-movie discussion with one of the film's stars, Tippi Hedren.

"The Birds" came out in 1963, and the quote Hitchcock: "it could be the most terrifying motion picture I have ever made."

The Virginia Film Festival also announced they are moving the Family Day activities from the Downtown Mall to the Betsy and John Casteen Arts Grounds on the University of Virginia grounds. Those will be held on November 9.

The festival runs from November 7 through November 10.
